On June 17, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by Asst. Prof. Kittipong Riabroi, M.D., M.Sc., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, along with the executive team, visited the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. The visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, PSU, and the Faculty of Medicine, the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. The collaboration agreement focuses on two main areas: academic exchange and student exchange.The purpose of this collaboration is to promote knowledge exchange, develop research across multiple disciplines, and build a strong academic partnership between the two institutions, aiming to enhance the quality and efficiency of joint research in the future.
The executives from the two institutes also discussed about the potential collaboration especially, on the joint research and academic training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Notably, this meeting was facilitated through the coordination and support of Assoc. Prof. Wongsakorn Chaochankit, M.D., from the Department of Surgery, and Asst. Prof. Chutida Sungworawongpana, M.D., from the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine, PSU. Both are currently pursuing further studies at the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan.
